Thanks for taking me to Vegas for our 5 year anniversary! It was so nice to have time with you for a few days, especially after all the studying you'd been doing. It was nice to hang out and talk without any interruptions. I was surprised how much we missed the kids, but I still absolutely cherished the time with you!

Here we are - a rare night out with friends! It was really fun to go to U2 with you. I love you so much. You're in the home-stretch of studying for the CFA and are taking it like a champ. I'm so proud of how hard you're trying!

Hi Best husband in the world,

I just wanted to say hi and thanks so much for cleaning the house yesterday. I feel like a shmuck because you got so much more done than I usually do when I'm home with the kids, all while dealing with Grace not taking the bottle. I'm super impressed : ) And, I know you did it to show me that you love me and that makes me even more happier. I just microwaved somethign, you even cleaned that. You're the best. Thanks.

Grace has taken 2.25 bottles today with very minimal crying ... wiinnnning! : )

Happy Anniversary! I love you so much and have loved being married to you. You're the perfect one for me...I love spending my life with you and look forward to celebrating many, many, many more anniversaries together!

Thank you for all you do every day to show me you love me (showering in the dark so you won't wake me up, getting up early on the weekends to study so that we can spend more time together, listening to me, staying positive when we're stressed, making coffee, helping out whenever you can without complaint ... the list goes on and on!)

Mother's Day

Hi Josh,

Thank you so much for a wonderful Mother's Day. I loved my card and my bottle of wine. I loved the way you got up and made waffles for me and were prompting Griffin to tell me Happy Mother's Day. I loved all the time we spent together. I love you so much ... you make being a mom so much easier because you're an awesome husband and Dad. I love you so much!

Happy hour in the garage

Josher,

Last night it was sunny and in the 70s, so you came home a little earlier than usual and we had a little happy hour with wine and chips and salsa while we watched Griffin ride his bike. A happy hour in the trunk of the car in the garage may not seem all that fancy to some, but to me, it was perfect. I loved that you came home to be with us.

You work so hard ...

Josh,

You have been working so hard to study for the CFA. You never get a second to yourself - you're either working 10 hour days at Janus, studying, or taking care of the kids. And yet you never, ever complain or show that your'e stressed. I would be a mess if I were juggling all of that, and yet you take it in stride. I am so proud of you Josh. I hope you know that ... your work ethic has really impressed me. I love telling others how hard you're working because everyone should know that you're doing all that you can to be the best husband and father you can while also working so hard on your career. I am so lucky to have married a guy like you!

Can you believe what has come out of our marriage?

Because of May 13, 2006,

I am a more confident, happy, loving person (and hopefully you are too),

There are two beautiful children in this world,

Stella has a wonderful family to be in,

We get to create our own life for ourselves in Denver,

and we are growing together as a family every day!

I love you, and love that you decided you wanted to spend the rest of your life with me, I am the luckiest girl in the world!

Hi Josher!

I have been thinking about how much time we put into archiving Griffin and Grace's life, and how much we treasure every good picture of them and every memory of them. I think it is a strength of ours that we understand how special each moment is with them, but I wanted to start documenting the thing that started it all - US. Our marriage is special too, and even though sometimes all of our focus is on the kids, I am constantly amazed by you and wanted you to know that. I'm hoping you can visit this blog during a busy work day and be reminded of why you do work so hard ... for us. Thank you for all your hard work - it simply amazes me.

Morning Notes

Surprise!

Hey Josher,

You surprised us today by taking a random 1/2 day off work - I was so surprised to see you walking through the door! It was 70 degrees and sunny out, so we walked to the town center to get ice cream ... it was so fun. Again, spending time with you as a family is so priceless these days with all the studying you have to do. I love you so much!

A Chance to Hang Out

We spent the weekend with our friends up in the mountains and it was so nice to hang out together after the kids were in bed. After all the studying you've been doing, it was great to have time with each other.

This is one of the few pictures of us taken in a LONG time with just you and I with no kids ... our marriage has shifted into a new phase where the focus is more on parenting, but I still love you more and more each day, especially watching what a wonderful father you are to Griffin and Grace.

Look! We still know how to have fun! It's not the best picture, but I had a lot of fun playing beer pong with you ... it made me miss college and all of our countless games of beer pong! I love you because you're good enough to cover up for the fact that I almost never make it in the cup, but since you almost always do, we still win : )

One of my favorite things to see is your with the kids. You do such a great job with them. Griffin looks forward to you putting him to bed all day! The fact that you're such a great father makes me love you infinitely more ... we are all so lucky to have you!
